I love lavender, in the bath, on my pillow specially after putting on clean sheets. The smell brings back so many happy memories and the calming affect from it is just the icing on the cake.

I absolutely love ylang ylang and neroli – I pop them in my electric oil burner and the smell is just devine!!

  2. Claire Ryder

I use citrus essential oils around my home to give it a fresh clean smell, a few drops mixed in warm water sprayed in all rooms.

Im also a major fan of lavender…so relaxing and smells sooo good! But I also must give Tea tree oil a mention as well…the amazing property’s and benefits this one little oil has is truly well amazing! lol

  4. Jacqui Hudson

My favourite oil is geranium. I drop it on a tissue so I can smell it all day & it makes me feel calm & think of chocolate.

  5. Orange oil is my go-to oil for a ton of things: I add it to moisturising masks, body lotions and baths, and also inhale it when I’m feeling foggy-brained. I like it with grapefruit and may chang in an anti-cellulite bath – baths always leave me feeling super-sleepy so the nice fresh scent makes it easier to get going again after I get out!

I just checked out the Essential Pouches, they’re adorable! I could really do with one right now to wear some anti-head cold oils throughout the day that’s for sure. I’d be honoured to win one of these and would wear it with pride.

The fragrance of roses brings back gentle memories to my mind and body of warm summer days in the garden when I was a child.

  7. Katie Abbott

My fave is eucalyptus lemon citriodora.
I use it in the diffuser when I want to clear the nose and soothe the throat!

  8. andie

I like Clary Sage – wonderful for clearing the brain when studying or concentrating on something and lovely in the bath!

  9. Sheryl Williams

I Love Lavender, i use it on my wrists at night to help me sleep, in the kids bath to help them sleep, on burns, itchy bites, its such a versatile oil, i think everyone should have a bottle!!

I love tea tree oil and use it for all sorts of things! I also use it in my babies nappy pail to disinfect and get rid of any lingering odour. It’s also great to get any sticky residue of things!

  13. Margaret Baker

Hard to pick a favourite but I love Peppermint. It’s so uplifting and great on the temples if I feel a headache coming on. I also love to blend it with other oils for a fresh, fragrant bath. I love it with lemon (I’m a bit strange!)

  14. Melanie Maddock

I love Sandalwood there is something so grounding about it, yet sweet and warm and comforting. Love love love it 🙂

  15. Chrissy Mat

I use calendula essential oil quite a lot. My 5 year old has very sensitive skin and calendula is fantastic for his skin rashes. It’s great for scratches and bites – it’s definitely the most used oil here

  16. Christine Tomlinson

Gillian … I love ALL your oils, but right now the” FOCUS BLEND” is my favorite as I am studying Nutrition this year and it really helps me stay energized and focused when completing assignments or talking with clients on the phone.

I love the smell as it gently wafts out of my vaporizer 🙂

Thanks for creating so many wonderful products !!

  17. Suzanne Willis

Clary Sage is my most essential essential. I use it in a bath with Epsom salts, my linen spray at night, and in my diffuser when I am trying to relax and ward off pain from Multiple Sclerosis.

  18. Talya

    Hi Gillian,

My favourite oil is ylang ylang, I vapourise it, dab it, rub it and inhale it :o)

    Thanks
    Talya :o)

My ‘master’ oil, is the ‘master oil’ – lavender. Uses: on my baby to help her sleep, on my pillow or a tissue to help me sleep, on foot rubs to antifung the feet, behind my ears and on temples for a headache, on insect bites to stop the itch, on burns, cuts, grazes, on my neck for a sore throat, on my chest for a cough, on my joints when they ache, in a burner for a lovely home, in an inhalation to chill me out or when I’ve got a cold, in the nappy bucket to disinfect, as a room spritz, as a cleaning product, on a pouch in my undies draw, in my homemade soy candles, in my sandwiches for lunch (just joking about the last one but I wouldn’t be surprised if it still helped my digestion!!)

  20. Hmmm if I was told just one oil missy, that would rule out your adorable focus blend. As much as I love peppermint and lemon and grapefruit and even a frankincense I was lucky enough to be able sample recently from the States, ORANGE is the winner ton the day. I could sniff it all day every day and love to add it to simmering water on a crackling fire top in winter.

  21. Samantha

For it’s smell, I love neroli and other citrus oils. But in terms of variety use, my favourite would be lavender. I am terribly clumsy in the kitchen and burn myself frequently. I keep a bottle of lavender in the kitchen to apply neat to burns. Works a charm!

  22. Hi Gillian

I don’t use essential oils on it’s own but I’m pretty hooked onto your blends!! I love love love your Lush blend and rub it on my neck, chest and collarbones every morning and do the same for hubby. I call it my happy oil, it makes my day a little bit more brighter and soothes me down when I’m frazzled away!!

Thank you so much Gillian. winning the pouch will be treat to go with my Lush!!

  23. Rebekah Taylor

I love mandarin oil, which is so refreshing and energising, a few drops in your body wash makes you feel ready for the day!

  24. Ritsa

Cinnamon and vanilla – a few drops in the bath, or mixed with carrier oil for a foot massage. Gosh I must smell like a muffin! Yum!

  25. Alex

I love jasmine, it just makes me feel good. It reminds me of home- the bush we had at our front door at the house I grew up in… I find it really grounding, I do not know if that it what it is supposed to do. I love the smell of it!

  26. Jodie Clarke

i love using citrus oils …. am under alot of stress and stuff with courts and goin for custody of my lil one and the citrus oil carms me and it smells devine ❤ love ya products

My favourite is Neroli. Beautifully fragrant aroma that is instantly uplifting. Whenever I’m feeling anxious, stressed or down, just a whiff of this revives me. One of the more expensive oils, but well worth it. Or you can use one 3% diluted in jojoba oil which is more affordable and still has that lovely aroma.

  28. Suzi C

Clary Sage in the bath… possibly because its the only oil i have! apart from my beautifuel ofcourse which gets used morning and night 🙂

  29. So many favourites to choose from! I work with skincare ranges containing essential oils so get to see first hand just how effective they can be. For skin my favourite oil is Rose, but If I had to pick just one all-rounder it would have to be LAVENDER – for it’s versatility. I use it as a signature scent in my treatment room, dispersed in water for my facial hot towels and blended as a massage medium. The power of nature is amazing!

  30. Liz Foster

Favorite essential oil is a toss up between tea tree oil (for its diversity) and Peppermint (for its bug keeping awayness ;))

Fave blend so far for myself is chill out and boost for the girl child is the tummy ache one you made her,

and of course my fave synergy is the migraine/tension headache one that one rules my world.

  31. Vicky Marshall

My fav essential oil is lemon – I love to add it to my washing cycle (I wash with soap nuts so no fragrance) and it adds such a fresh scent to my sheets and towels.

  32. Kelly Murphy

My favourite would have to be Lavender because it is so versatile and can be applied neat, so don’t have to worry about diluting it. I use it for when I get insect bites, it works a treat! 🙂

  33. julie king

Mine change form season to season, where different ones tune into the seasonal essence of me I guess.
At the moment neroli is just divine 🙂

  34. Kym Lamb

My favorite is Lavender Oil 🙂 How I use it… Mozzie bites, scratches, bedtime baths, Oil burner.. the list goes on. I think it’s a MUST have oil when you have children

  35. Ca

Rose and Jasmine but not together – I use rose in the house so every day when I walk in the door my house smells fresh and rosy! Then Jasmine at work so I can dream of the sweet smelling flowers I will see when I get to go home! 🙂

  36. Angela Gallagher

There are two that I love – one is Vanilla which I love in the oil burner and use a few drops in the vacuum cleaner to leave a lovely smell after vacuuming and the other which I love and swear by is the “sore tummy blend” which is lasting me ages and works so well with my daughter and her sore tummies all the time! :0)
